I can hardly believe we are now in October and the end of the year is in sight. Whilst it feels like a lot of the year has passed us by, I am grateful for the adventures I have managed to go on. With only three months left of 2020, there are some exciting adventure goals I want to conquer before the year is out.

Winter Hiking in Scotland- I have made no secret of the fact that I fell in love with Scotland when we visited in September. It was a truly stunning place with incredible mountain landscapes, pretty lochs and wild beaches. With two weeks off work over Christmas, I want to head back for a winter trip. I have a cabin/lodge in mind, where I can really switch off my mind, take lots of photographs and lose myself in my favourite season. If you have any recommendations, let me know.

Get on the Wall- I have been desperate to try indoor bouldering for such a long time but with restrictions in place, it’s been hard to get to one of the many climbing walls in Leicester. However, after watching many YouTube videos and reading so many books, I am determined to get some sessions booked in before the end of the year. I am looking for something to challenge and test me and I am excited to give this a go.

Hill & Mountain Skills- I am excited to say, I recently signed up for the Hillwalking & Mountain skills course run by Mountain Training. After many years hiking in numerous hills across the UK,I wanted to hone my skills and move onto a more mountainous terrain. I do lack confidence sometimes and can appear shy, so wanted to push myself, so what better way than learning new skills in an environment I love. I am really excited to learn, mingle with others on the practical courses and spend more time outdoors.

Photography & Video- With my blog and Instagram going from strength to strength, I am keen to improve my photography skills. I am eyeing up a couple of drones as I would like to get more mountain, forest and costal views from a different perspective. I am also building up the courage to do more Instagram stories and videos, so you can see the woman behind the camera for a change. Let me know if you have any drone recommendations for photography.

New Career- I have worked in Digital Marketing for fourteen years now and I am so ready for a move. Since turning 34 I have incredibly itchy feet. I want to mix my love of being creative with my love of the outdoors, so I am currently looking at ways in which I can do that. I am ready for something new and exciting, I know it will be tough but I am excited about the future, life is too short after all.

So, there we have it, quite a lot of goals to work on for the next couple of months but I am excited. Excited to try new things and improve on others. So, where to start….
